Executive Summary (TL;DR)
Extreme Connect 2026 made one thing clear: AI in networking has moved from roadmap to reality, and PlatformOne is redefining what it means to sell network outcomes. Organizations still treating AI adoption as a future consideration are already behind. For TBX, the event reinforced both the urgency and the opportunity to help customers navigate the shift, and to build on top of the platform capabilities that make differentiation possible.
Event Overview & Context
Extreme Connect is Extreme Networks’ flagship annual conference, convening partners, enterprise customers, and product teams to align on platform direction and market strategy. TBX attended as a Bronze Conference Sponsor with two goals: deepening our partnership with Extreme and gaining direct insight into where PlatformOne and AI-driven networking are taking the industry.
What became immediately clear is that the conversations at this event were different from prior years. There was less speculation about where AI would go, and far more discussion about how to operationalize what’s already available. The urgency in the room was real.
Key Themes & Strategic Takeaways
Across sessions and hallway conversations, three themes emerged consistently:
• AI in networking is operational now and no longer a roadmap item. Agent One is deployed and delivering results. The window for organizations to ‘get ready’ has already closed.
• PlatformOne shifts the conversation from products to outcomes. When customers adopt the full platform, partners aren’t selling components they’re delivering measurable results.
• Enablement and monetization go hand-in-hand. PlatformOne Exchange creates meaningful revenue opportunity for partners with the technical depth to build on top of it, and that’s a real differentiator.
TBX POV: Where We Fit
Extreme Connect validated something TBX sees every day: customers need partners who can close the gap between platform capability and real-world deployment. PlatformOne is a powerful portfolio but its value is unlocked when partners like TBX have the depth to configure, extend, and build on top of it.
TBX is uniquely positioned to do that. From Tier One Service Providers developing managed services on Extreme infrastructure, to mid-market organizations looking to automate their network operations, we sit at the intersection of OEM capability and customer execution.
Key Learnings & Why It Matters
For TBX, the most important learning was confirmation of timing. The partners moving now building capability on PlatformOne, aligning with Extreme’s AI direction, and helping customers operationalize the platform will have a meaningful advantage twelve to eighteen months out. Waiting makes that gap harder to close.
Looking Ahead
TBX will continue to deepen its Extreme partnership with a more intentional engagement model:
• Earlier alignment with Extreme’s product team
• Clearer positioning around PlatformOne capabilities
• Tighter integration between our customer conversations and the platform roadmap
The goal is to show up as more than a distributor, but as a trusted advisor to help our customers on their PlatformOne journey.
